About Lao Nexus Publishing

Lao Nexus Publishing is an academic publisher based in Vientiane. We give researchers and institutions ethical, open-access publishing and bilingual support in English and Lao, so that Lao scholarship is read, cited and trusted beyond national borders.

Why we exist

Local knowledge deserves global visibility.

Researchers in Laos produce valuable work in engineering, health, the humanities and more. Much of it stays hard to find, because review times are long, English-language support is limited, and international visibility is low. We started Lao Nexus to close that gap and give Lao researchers a publishing partner that knows the local context and works to international standards.

Make Lao research visible, credible and accessible worldwide.

We do this through rigorous peer review, permanent DOIs, open-access publishing, and hands-on support for authors in both English and Lao.

Our vision: A Laos whose scholarship takes its place in the global research community, across ASEAN and beyond.

Integrity

We follow COPE principles and run transparent, fair peer review with at least two independent reviewers.

Open access

All published work is freely available under a CC BY 4.0 licence.

Bilingual inclusion

Authors can work with us in Lao, English or both.

Capacity building

We train authors, reviewers and editors, not just publish their work.

Honesty

We publish our fees openly, and we never guarantee acceptance or indexing.
